Welcome to Valerie Krutt Psychotherapy, a private practice located in the heart of Seattle's Madison Park neighborhood. As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I, Valerie Krutt, have been helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges since 2000. My approach to therapy is built on a foundation of rapport, trust, and mutual respect. I take the time to understand each client's unique strengths and talents, adapting my approach to meet their individual needs and goals.

My Background

I hold a master's degree in marriage and family therapy from the University of New Hampshire and have over two decades of experience working with adults, adolescents, children, and their families. My extensive background includes working in various settings, such as outpatient, group homes, detention centers, and intensive outpatient programs. Additionally, I am a certified case manager and registered health coach, and I have experience supporting individuals, caregivers, and family members as they navigate complex health needs.

My Approach to Therapy

At the core of my therapy practice is the importance of building a sense of connectedness, trust, and mutual respect with each client. I believe that every individual is unique and is capable of creating positive change in their life. My approach is integrative, taking into account the biological, psychological, and social factors that shape each person's experience. I work closely with my clients to understand their strengths and use them to overcome challenges.

Areas of Expertise

Throughout my career, I have worked with clients dealing with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, infertility, adjustment to life transitions, separation and divorce, parenting support, and managing complex health conditions. I have also worked with individuals and couples struggling with communication, self-esteem, trauma, and child and adolescent behavioral issues.

Licensure and Certification

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and a certified case manager. I am also a registered health coach and have completed training in Gottman Level 2 Therapy and lean training and mentorship. I am a proud member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and the Case Management Society of America.

Office Space and Location

My office is conveniently located in the Madison Park neighborhood, just minutes from downtown Seattle. The office is easily accessible by car, with free street parking available. The location is also close to public transportation and major highways.

Rates and Payments

I offer a free, 20-minute introductory phone session for all new clients. My standard fees are $200.00 per 50-minute individual session and $225 per 50-minute couple and family session. Payment is required at the time of the session via cash, check, or credit card. I do not bill insurance for sessions outside of my network.
