At Yoga Foundation, we are dedicated to providing a holistic approach to yoga, combining physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation to promote overall well-being. Established in 1998 by our founder and director, Danielle Tarantola, we have been offering yoga therapy, teacher training, and chanting programs for over two decades.

Our Inspiration and Teaching Tradition

Our foundation is deeply rooted in the teachings of Professor T Krishnamacharya, considered one of the most influential yoga masters of the 20th century. Krishnamacharya is the pioneer who revived and disseminated the ancient teachings of yoga to the modern world. His emphasis on the concept of viniyoga, or the application of yoga practices tailored to each individual's level, needs, and capabilities, has guided our approach to teaching and therapy.

Our Teachers

Our teachers are highly experienced and dedicated practitioners who have undergone rigorous training and mentorship under the guidance of our founder and director, Danielle Tarantola. Our teachers have completed comprehensive teacher training programs, including the 500-hour teacher training program offered at our foundation. Gina D'Addario, RYT-500, is one of our senior teachers and has been practicing yoga for over a decade. Lisa Melendez, RYT-500, has a background in yoga and cancer support, and Claudia Shapiro and Debbie Fratello are also certified yoga teachers who have undergone extensive training at our foundation.
