"Imagination is more important than Information" - Albert Einstein
As a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience as a registered nurse, I offer a unique and holistic approach to therapy. My background allows me to address the emotional, behavioral, and biological needs of my clients, providing comprehensive care that considers the whole person. My clinical journey spans over 30 years, encompassing a diverse range of settings and experiences.
From working in private practice since 2005, where I guide individuals, couples, and families through various challenges, to my previous roles in hospitals and hospice care, I have honed my skills in providing compassionate and effective support. My tenure at the Evergreen Hospice Center provided me with invaluable experience in bereavement support, helping terminal patients and their families navigate the complexities of loss and grief.
My earlier years as a nurse, including my service as a U.S. Air Force officer during the Vietnam War, instilled in me a deep commitment to service and a strong foundation in patient care. My specialized training in trauma care and oncology further enriched my understanding of the intricate connection between physical and emotional well-being.
Beyond my clinical practice, I am dedicated to continuous learning and growth. I hold a Ph. D. in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, and I have further developed my expertise through my Master's degree in Systems Counseling from Bastyr University. My affiliation with esteemed organizations such as the American Psychological Association and the C.G. Jung Society of Seattle reflects my ongoing commitment to professional development and collaboration within the field of psychology.
