Welcome to the private practice of Rosemary Kelly, MD, MPH. As a board-certified psychiatrist with extensive training in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health services to adults. At my private practice, I offer a range of services designed to address the unique needs of each patient. My expertise lies in treating depression, anxiety, and stress-related disorders. I also specialize in women's mental health, providing guidance on balancing family and work demands, navigating reproductive health events, and coping with symptoms during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Additionally, I have extensive training in treating psychiatric disorders in a medical setting.
My approach to treatment is patient-centered and collaborative. During our initial consultation, I will work closely with you to understand your concerns, medical history, and current mental health needs. Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific goals and circumstances. Whether you require medication management, psychotherapy, or a combination of both, I am committed to delivering high-quality care that addresses your unique needs.
Education and Training
My journey began with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences from Stanford University, followed by a Medical Degree from the University of Minnesota. I completed my Psychiatric Residency at the University of California, San Francisco, and later pursued additional training in research and public health at the University of Washington, earning a Master's in Public Health. I have also received advanced training in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis from the National Institute for the Psychotherapies in New York.
Publications
Throughout my career, I have published numerous articles and research papers in reputable medical journals, focusing on topics such as depression, anxiety, and women's mental health. Some notable publications include "Chart Recorded Psychiatric Diagnoses in Women Giving Birth in California in 1992" and "The Detection and Treatment of Psychiatric and Substance Abuse Disorders Among Pregnant Women Cared For in Obstetrics."
New Patients
If you are a new patient, please be prepared to discuss your current situation and concerns, as well as your medical and psychiatric history. Typically, our initial assessment involves 1-4 visits for consultation. During this time, we will work together to identify the most effective treatment approach for you.
Hours & Appointments
Office hours are by appointment only. Psychotherapy sessions are typically 45-50 minutes long, while medication management sessions range from 25 to 50 minutes. Please note that I am an out-of-network provider for all insurance companies except Regence.
