Collaborative Advancing Technology Highly Skilled Growth Mindset

Our Philosophy

At Red Sun Yoga, we believe that yoga is an accessible and empowering practice for everyone, regardless of age, experience, or physical ability. Yoga is much more than just physical postures; it is a profound spiritual discipline that seeks to unite body, mind, and spirit. We teach yoga based on the traditional teachings of ancient yogis, emphasizing the dismantling of the ego and the cultivation of strength, flexibility, and inner peace.

Our instructors come from diverse backgrounds and training programs, each bringing their unique perspectives and insights to the classroom. What unites them is a shared passion for sharing the transformative benefits of yoga in a loving and non-judgmental environment. We believe that true yoga practice happens on an individual level, and we strive to create a space where students can explore their practice at their own pace and connect with their own inner wisdom.

Our Studio

Red Sun Yoga was founded in 2004 in Winter Park, Florida, as Red Door Yoga. From the very beginning, our mission has been to provide a welcoming and inclusive space for all individuals to explore the practice of yoga. In 2006, we moved to our current beautiful studio in Winter Springs, which has become a thriving hub for the yoga community. Over the years, the studio has been led by passionate yoga practitioners who have continued to uphold our core values of compassion, integrity, and inclusivity.

Today, Red Sun Yoga is owned and operated by Sarah Morgan, a dedicated student and teacher who shares our commitment to creating a nurturing and supportive environment. Our studio is designed to be a sanctuary for those seeking refuge from the demands of daily life. We offer a wide variety of classes, from gentle postures to invigorating vinyasa flows, so that there is something for everyone.

About Yoga

The word "yoga" originates from Sanskrit and translates to "union." In essence, yoga is about uniting the individual consciousness with universal consciousness, or oneness. While yoga is often recognized for its physical postures, or asanas, this is just one aspect of a much broader philosophical and spiritual discipline. Ancient yoga is a system that encompasses eight limbs, guiding practitioners towards self-realization and enlightenment.

The eight limbs, outlined in Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, are a comprehensive framework for living a yogic lifestyle. They include ethical guidelines (yamas and niyamas), physical postures (asanas), breath control (pranayama), sensory withdrawal (pratyahara), concentration (dharana), meditation (dhyana), and ultimately, a state of blissful union (samadhi).

Through consistent practice and self-reflection, individuals can cultivate a deeper connection to themselves, to each other, and to the universe.

Types of Yoga

Hatha Yoga is a system of physical postures and breathing exercises aimed at harmonizing the body and mind. This is often the traditional image of yoga, emphasizing physical strength, flexibility, and balance.
