At Seed Yoga Therapy, we offer a unique and holistic approach to healing through Yoga Therapy. This approach is rooted in the principles of trauma-informed, consent-based, and liberatory practices. Our Yoga Therapy program is designed to help individuals heal from the effects of individual, collective, intergenerational, and systemic trauma.
What is Yoga Therapy?
Yoga Therapy is a body-based approach to healing that combines the principles of yoga and psychotherapy to support individuals in processing trauma, settling and grounding the nervous system, and moving the body/mind/heart toward greater clarity and empowerment.
Our Approach
Our approach to healing is rooted in four pillars:
- Honoring the Nervous System: We believe in the importance of honoring the wisdom of the nervous system and soothing the system when it is stuck in a state of stress.
- Cultivating Discipline: We believe in creating a sense of discipline to support healing while aligning with the body's and nature's inherent rhythms.
- Attuning to the Body and Breath: We believe in anchoring into the body and breath to access the issues that live in the tissues.
- Practicing Mindfulness and Meditation: We believe in steadying the mind through mindfulness and meditation practices to cultivate greater balance and clarity.
What to Expect
When you work with us, you can expect a 2.5-hour intensive intake session to explore your history and current challenges in depth. We will provide you with a detailed plan to follow, including lifestyle recommendations and exercise and meditation practices that you can implement on your own. We will also have two check-ins to refine and expand on the recommendations for your continued growth.

Laura Humpf is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and certified Yoga Therapist with extensive experience in working with individuals and communities affected by trauma, depression, grief, shame, and the struggle to love the body one lives in. She is passionate about supporting individuals in healing and cultivating resilience.
