Empowering the Body, Mind, and Spirit Through Yoga

Welcome to the Hatha Yoga Center, one of the original Seattle Yoga studios. We have been providing a safe and sacred space for yoga classes since 1977. Our studio has recently moved to a new location at 1020 NE 112th Street in the Pinehurst area of north Seattle. Our new space is luxurious and pleasing, providing the perfect environment for our students to practice yoga.

Our Services

At the Hatha Yoga Center, we offer a variety of yoga classes, taught by experienced instructors Ki McGraw and Bob Smith. Our style of yoga is eclectic and invigorating, with an emphasis on core alignment and breathing. We provide mats and water for our students, and we also offer online classes through our Hatha Yoga Facebook Livestream page.

Yoga Classes

We offer a range of yoga classes, from beginner to advanced, as well as specialized classes such as our beginners' class. Our classes are designed to provide a challenging and rewarding experience for our students. Our instructors are highly qualified and experienced in teaching yoga.

Integral Yoga Teacher Training

At the Hatha Yoga Center, we also offer Integral Yoga Teacher Training programs. Our teacher training program is a comprehensive course that covers the principles of Integral Yoga, including Asana practice, teaching methodology, and anatomy physiology. We also explore the principles of teaching methodology, including demonstration, observation, assisting/correcting, and instruction. Our program is designed to help students become knowledgeable and skilled yoga instructors.

Bali Yoga Teacher Training

We also offer Bali Yoga Teacher Training programs, where students can come for one week, 10 days, two weeks, or any amount of time wished during the one month open-ended workshop. Our Bali Yoga Teacher Training program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of Integral Yoga, as well as practical experience in teaching yoga.

Asana Practice and Teaching Methodology

Our Asana practice and teaching methodology program focuses on the principles of demonstration, observation, assisting/correcting, and instruction. We also explore the qualities of a good yoga instructor and how to become a safe and effective yoga instructor.

Anatomy - Physiology Training

As part of our Integral Yoga Teacher Training program, we offer 20 hours of anatomy physiology training. Our anatomy physiology program includes interactive sessions with Ki McGraw, who provides a comprehensive understanding of bones, joints, and muscles as applied to yoga.

Tutoring at the Hatha Yoga Center

We also offer private tutoring sessions at the Hatha Yoga Center, where students can work one-on-one with our experienced instructors to improve their yoga practice and teaching skills.

They cater to each student's specific needs and provide detailed instructions, never pushing anyone beyond their physical capabilities.

Students have reported significant improvements in their physical and mental well-being, including strengthened immune systems, regulated nervous systems, boosted metabolism, and corrected posture. One student even reported growing 3/4 of an inch!

Studio Environment and Amenities

The studio has a warm and accepting atmosphere, and the instructors are friendly and caring. The studio offers mats, blocks, and balls for students to borrow. While there are no showers available, there is plentiful street parking nearby. The studio also has a few cats that might pop up to greet students.

Online Classes and Broadcasts

In addition to in-studio classes, the studio offers online broadcasts, allowing students to practice from home. This flexibility has been particularly helpful during the pandemic.
