Nestled in the heart of San Pasqual Valley, Hungry Hawk Vineyards & Winery is one of the premier wineries in Escondido, California. Our journey began in 2014 when founders Jeannine and Ed Embly planted the first vines on our ten-acre estate. Since then, we have been committed to producing high-quality, boutique wines that showcase the unique characteristics of our region.
Our Story
At Hungry Hawk Vineyards & Winery, we are dedicated to crafting wines that reflect the region's rich soil, moderate climate, and Mediterranean weather patterns. Our winemaker, Mike Embly, has a deep understanding of sustainable farming practices, which allows us to grow high-quality grapes entirely on our estate. Our Wines
We offer a diverse range of wines, including our popular Estate Sparkling Viognier, Hill Springs Chardonnay, Jackson's Blend, and Super Tuscan. Our wines have received numerous awards and accolades, including a gold medal at the 2024 Toast of the Coast Commercial Wine Competition.
Tasting Room and Events
Our rustic California-style tasting room is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. We offer tasting flights, glasses, bottles, and snacks in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Join us for live music and events, and take a stroll around our beautiful vineyards.
