A Legacy of Flavorful Experiences

The Poor House Bistro stands as a vibrant testament to the rich culinary heritage of New Orleans. Established in 2005, our family-run restaurant has delighted patrons with its authentic interpretation of classic Creole and Italian dishes, alongside live music and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

The Meduri Family Tradition

Inspired by his Italian heritage, Consulato Anthony Meduri (Tony Meduri) and his wife Sally established the bistro. Their son, Jay Meduri, who developed a deep passion for New Orleans cuisine during his travels, later joined the business. This culinary heritage ensures that every dish at Poor House Bistro is infused with genuine love and expertise.
