Our Story
Trump Winery is a premier destination for wine enthusiasts, offering a comprehensive wine experience that encompasses winemaking, marketing, and global distribution. As the President of Trump Winery, Eric Trump oversees every aspect of the business, from winemaking and marketing to global distribution and sales. With a degree in Finance and Management from Georgetown University, Eric has made a significant impact in the business sector and has appeared as a keynote speaker at several international business, wine, and real estate conferences.
Our Team
Our team consists of experienced professionals, including our General Manager, Kerry Woolard, who is responsible for overseeing all operations on the 1,300-acre estate, world-class winery, vineyard, hotel, and event facilities. Kerry is WSET Level 2 certified and has contributed to wine columns for the Wine Gazette and USAToday. She serves on the board for the Monticello Wine Trail, the Free Enterprise Forum, and has served on various committees with the Virginia Wineries Association and the Wine Board.
Wine and Cider
At Trump Winery, we strive to produce award-winning sparkling, white, and red wines that cater to a variety of tastes. Our winemaker, Jonathan Wheeler, leads our award-winning wine programs and has been directly responsible for scores of 90+ points with Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, and James Suckling. Jonathan draws on his historical knowledge of the estate, having worked with the grapes since 2006. He also brings expertise gained from working in Sonoma and Monterey, California, Marlborough, New Zealand, and his home in the Finger Lakes of New York.
Tasting Room
Located in Wine Enthusiast's 2023 Wine Region of the Year, the Grand Hall Tasting Room offers an immersive wine experience. Guests can sip and savor a variety of award-winning wines, indulge in seasonal menu offerings or gourmet picnic selections, and explore our array of wines, apparel, and gifts. The Tasting Room is open from 11am-5pm, Wednesday to Monday, and is closed on Tuesdays, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Groups of less than 8 are served on a first-come, first-served basis.
Winery Events
Trump Winery hosts various events throughout the year, including wine tastings, wine and food pairings, and educational workshops. These events provide wine enthusiasts with the opportunity to learn about wine production, taste new vintages, and socialize with fellow wine enthusiasts.
