At Cunningham Creek Winery, we're a family-owned and operated boutique winery dedicated to crafting exceptional, small-lot French varietals and blends. Our journey began in 2013 when we planted our first vines, and we welcomed our first guests to our tasting room in 2016. Since then, we've been proudly serving our community and visitors alike, offering an unparalleled wine experience in the heart of the Monticello Wine Trail.

Our Story

Located just 20 minutes from Jefferson's Monticello, 30 minutes from Charlottesville, 10 minutes from Lake Monticello, and 60 minutes from Richmond, our winery is the perfect destination for wine enthusiasts and those seeking a unique, relaxing experience. We're passionate about sharing our award-winning wines, carefully crafted to showcase the best of Virginia's terroir. Our 2024 VA Governor Cup winners include Gold medal: 2022 Viognier, Silver medal: 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2022 Chardonnay, 2019 Herd Dog Red, and 2022 Petit Verdot.

We're open Sunday to Thursday from 12 pm to 6 pm, Friday from 12 pm to 8 pm, and Saturday from 12 pm to 8:30 pm. Our team can't wait to welcome you to our tasting room, where you can enjoy customized wine flights, traditional tastings, glasses, and bottles.
