Ignite That Spark! NUTCRACKER JOY
Welcome to the Alameda Civic Ballet, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to enriching our community through the performing arts. Our organization, along with the Alameda Ballet Academy, was established in 2003 by the Artistic Director, Abra Rudisill, with the mission of creating a deep-rooted tradition of high-quality ballet productions that are accessible to all.
Abra Rudisill's 20 years of experience as a Prima Ballerina and Ballet Mistress with the Oakland Ballet have been instrumental in shaping the values and artistic direction of our company. Our aim is to impart the best elements of the classical ballet tradition to the East Bay, while fostering a love for the art form in the hearts of Bay Area youth.
At the Alameda Civic Ballet, we are committed to providing young dancers with the opportunity to gain valuable experience by performing alongside professional dancers. Our community-accessible ballet performances not only serve to entertain and inspire, but also to create a space where individuals from diverse backgrounds can come together and enjoy the beauty of ballet.
Our Services
The Alameda Civic Ballet offers a wide range of services aimed at promoting and preserving the art of ballet in our community. Here are some of the key services we provide:

This experience not only helps to build confidence and technical ability, but also fosters a sense of community and connection within the ballet world.
4. Community Engagement: We believe that ballet is a powerful tool for community engagement and enrichment. Through our various outreach programs and initiatives, we aim to make ballet accessible to a diverse range of audiences, and to inspire a lifelong love for the art form in the hearts of our community members.
