Tomaj Trenda is the founder of Salsa with Tomaj and is a highly experienced and qualified salsa dance instructor. With a Master's Degree in Dance Education and extensive post-graduate training in movement memory and retention, Tomaj is dedicated to providing students with the highest-quality salsa dance instruction possible. Tomaj has trained with some of the world's top salsa dancers, including Alex de Silva, Joby & Luis Vasquez, and Eddie Torres, and has performed at the world's largest salsa congress in Los Angeles.

We also use a "Theme and Variations" approach, which helps students learn the building blocks of salsa dancing in a deep and meaningful way. All of our classes and DVDs follow a progressive series format, delving deeply into particular "root" moves based on what the follower is being asked to perform. Leaders learn variations of these "root" moves to add complexity and style, while followers execute countless variations without getting flustered because they understand the root movement they are being asked to perform.
