The Alameda Ballet Academy is committed to delivering high-quality classical dance education to our community. We focus on nurturing students' artistry, self-expression, and love for dance while emphasizing discipline, teamwork, and respect. We believe in cultivating a commitment to excellence from a young age, maintaining an atmosphere that is both inspiring and playful. Our ballet program follows the academic year, and lasts from September - May. Summer camps and classes are held each year, but registration for those classes is separate from the September - May registration.

The Alameda Civic Ballet is a non-profit organization established in 2003 to provide high-quality ballet productions to the diverse members of the East Bay community. The company aims to establish a deep tradition of locally produced ballet performances, enriching the local lives through the performing arts. The ballet company, along with its affiliate school, Alameda Ballet Academy, was founded by Artistic Director Abra Rudisill, a former Prima Ballerina and Ballet Mistress with Oakland Ballet. The company creates and presents quality community-accessible ballet performances, providing young dancers opportunities to gain experience performing alongside professional dancers. Our mission is to keep ballet alive and accessible to all in our community.
