Brent Manor Vineyards

Brent Manor Vineyards is a unique boutique winery nestled in the heart of Virginia Wine Country, in beautiful Nelson County, just south of Charlottesville. Our winery is a culmination of our love for wine and a dream to create a unique wine experience. Our journey began with a dream to open a Bed & Breakfast and a small winery. However, our plans evolved, and we decided to focus solely on our passion for wine.

Our Story

Our concept, "Where the New World meets the Old World, " was born out of our appreciation for the wines of the Old World. With my Portuguese heritage, we have a deep appreciation for the rich wine traditions of Portugal. We strive to bring together the best of both worlds, blending the classic techniques and old-world wines with a modern, new-world approach. This unique fusion is reflected in our wines, which are crafted with the same passion and attention to detail that we would use in our own homes.

The Area

Charlottesville, our neighboring city, is an independent city located within the confines of Albemarle County. It is known for its rich history, cultural attractions, and natural beauty. The city is home to the renowned University of Virginia, founded by Thomas Jefferson, and is also famous for Jefferson's Monticello, his iconic home, which attracts tens of thousands of visitors every year. Nelson County, where we are located, is a haven for wine enthusiasts, with over 30 wineries, breweries, and cideries within a 20-mile radius. The area is also known for its welcoming community, scenic landscapes, and abundance of outdoor activities.

Tasting Room Experience

When you visit our tasting room, you'll experience something new and unique. In addition to our original wines, we offer an ever-changing selection of Portuguese wines for you to enjoy. Our tasting room is designed to provide an intimate and comfortable atmosphere, with a maximum capacity of 6 people. We offer wine flights, wine and food pairings, and other special events and experiences.

Reservations

Reservations are recommended, but not required, for groups of 6 or less. We also offer reservations for larger groups and special events. Please note that outside food and drinks are not permitted inside the tasting room or seating area, but picnics are encouraged outside on the patio and grounds.

Food and Wine Pairings

We are excited to offer special food and wine pairing experiences in our new seating area. These experiences include a selection of small plates and wines, carefully curated to complement each other. Reservations are required for these events and can be made by contacting us directly.
