Southland Federal Credit Union is a community-based financial institution that provides various financial services to its members. Founded in 1963, it initially served the workers and family members of the Southland Paper Mill in Lufkin, Texas. After the paper mill's closure, the credit union expanded its membership to include anyone living, working, worshiping, or attending school in Angelina, Houston, or Trinity Counties. The credit union offers savings accounts, loan accounts, convenience services, and fraud information center, among other services.
