Surfing Madonna Oceans Project is a community-driven organization inspired by Mark Patterson's Surfing Madonna mosaic. Our mission is to promote public displays of artistic expression, create experiences of joy in natural environments, and promote ocean awareness and preservation. We achieve this by hosting surf camps for underprivileged children, creating opportunities for local artists, and organizing beach clean-ups. Our vision is for everyone to have access to nature and the arts, regardless of economic status. Eli Howard Surf School has been sharing its passion for surfing with thousands of people since 1999. The school offers surfing lessons and camps conducted with a professional, hands-on, and supportive style that is second to none. Surfing lessons are available for beginners, intermediate, and advanced surfers, and morning surf camps are available at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. With proper surfing instruction, all students can experience the thrill of riding a wave during their first class. The school also offers private and semi-private lessons, group lessons, and multi-day surf camps.
