At Tortilla Flats, we are a family-owned and operated restaurant with a rich history spanning over 45 years. Our journey began in 1979 when our founder, Cheryl Marquez, opened the doors to our first location. Born in Canada, Cheryl had the privilege of learning French cooking techniques, which she later combined with her passion for Mexican cuisine.

Over the years, we have had the honor of serving generations of families and have become a staple in the community. In 2010, Cheryl was featured in a Good Times article, where she shared her story and the secret to our award-winning dishes. Unfortunately, Cheryl passed away in 2022, leaving behind a legacy of delicious food and warm hospitality.

Our Story

Our story is one of love, passion, and dedication to our craft. In 2019, Zolina, a young waitress with a fresh design degree, joined our team. She was mentored by Cheryl and went on to become a integral part of our team. In 2022, Zolina and her mother, Azra Simonetti, became co-owners of Tortilla Flats. Azra, an accountant by trade, brought her business acumen to the table, and together, they have continued to grow and improve our restaurant.
