Established in 1981, we are a licensed and trusted pet boarding facility that has been serving the Durham and Triangle communities for over four decades. • Cat boarding: Our cattery is designed to provide a comfortable and safe environment for your cat. Our cat condos are spacious and comfortable, and are equipped with everything your cat needs to feel at home.
• Dog daycare: Our dog daycare service provides a fun and stimulating environment for your dog to socialize and play with other dogs. Our team of experienced dog handlers supervise all playtime, ensuring that all dogs are safe and have a great time.

Our Team

At Pet's Companion Inn, we pride ourselves on our small team of well-trained, long-term employees. Our team members have a love for animals and a combined service of over 40 years. We believe that getting to know our team members is an important part of the pet boarding experience, and we enjoy getting to know your pets just as much. Our team leaders are dedicated to providing exceptional care for your pets, and are committed to ensuring that they have a great stay with us.

• Sharon Long, Operations and Office Manager: Sharon has been taking care of our guests for over 20 years. She has completed many hours of continuing education in pet care, pet first aid, and CPR. She is also experienced in hand-raising a variety of animals, including baby deer, squirrels, raccoons, and rabbits.
• Danny McFarland, Kennel Manager: Danny has been a fixture at Pet's Companion Inn for almost 25 years. He is responsible for managing the kennel, and is experienced in providing hands-on care for all of our pets. He has completed many hours of continuing education in pet care, pet first aid, and CPR.
• Vicki Sosbe, Kennel Technician: Vicki has been a member of our team for 5 years. She is equally comfortable caring for cats, dogs, and small mammals. She is experienced in meeting and greeting our guests, and is dedicated to providing exceptional care for your pets.
• Gwen Habenicht, Owner: Gwen is the founder of Pet's Companion Inn. She has been providing safe, clean, and comfortable care for pets since 1981. She is committed to providing the best pet care methods, and is a member of IBPSA, International Boarding, and Pet Services Association.

Our facility is designed to provide a clean, spacious, and secure environment for your pets. Our kennels are equipped with everything your pet needs to feel comfortable and at home, including comfortable bedding, fresh water, and nutritious food. Our cattery is designed to provide a comfortable and safe environment for your cat, with plenty of space to move around and play.

Our facility is also equipped with a range of features to ensure the safety and well-being of your pets. These include climate control, 24-hour supervision, and regular cleaning and disinfection. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all of our guests, and take every precaution to ensure their safety and well-being.

We are easily accessible from Durham and the surrounding areas, making it easy and convenient to board your pets with us.

Our hours of operation are as follows:

• Monday - Friday: 8:00-11:00 a.m. and 3:00-6:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 8:00-11:00 a.m.
• Sunday: CLOSED
