Miramont Estate Vineyards

Our Story

Miramont Estate Vineyards is a family-owned vineyard and winery, located at the edge of the Sierra Foothills in the Lodi Appellation of California. Our story begins with five generations of the Pechan family, who have been dedicated to agricultural excellence since the 1840s. Inspired by this rich legacy, we decided to pursue our dream of establishing a small vineyard and winery. In 1997, we purchased 40 acres of grassland in Linden, California, and began the long journey of preparing and developing the land for our vineyards.

As we started working the virgin grassland, we encountered a significant challenge: a deep, concrete-like hardpan layer beneath the soil. This hardpan, formed over millions of years, prevented water and roots from penetrating deeper than 1 to 3 feet. To ensure our wine grapes could grow deep roots and have proper drainage, we had to break up the hardpan. Through research and consultation with experts, we discovered that digging trenches between the rows of the vineyard would encourage the roots to grow deep and create the necessary drainage.

Our Vineyards and Winery

Nestled in a Mediterranean climate, our estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon grapes enjoy golden sunlight during the day and are cooled by Pacific breezes at night. This optimal environment, combined with our dedication to caring for the land, results in premium wine grapes and high-quality wine products. Our other varietals are sourced from local growers who share our commitment to excellence and quality.

Product and Inventory Solutions

Miramont Estate Vineyards offers a range of products and services tailored to wineries. Our bulk wine, sold by the gallon, can be blended with your own wines or left as is, allowing you to choose a wine that fits your brand. With no minimum order, our shiners (unlabeled bottles of wine) are a great addition to your tasting room lineup or wine club promotions, enabling you to fill in with what you need and re-order as necessary.
