Our Story
Twisted Barrel Winery has a rich and storied history that dates back to 2014 when the Tanner Family founded the winery. With patriarch Verl Tanner at the helm, the winery quickly gained a reputation for producing exceptional wines that were loved by wine enthusiasts from all over the world. In 2022, the Warmerdam family purchased Twisted Barrel Winery and has since continued the winery's legacy of producing high-quality wines. With a new generation of winemakers at the helm, Twisted Barrel Winery is poised to continue its tradition of producing exceptional wines for years to come.
Meet the Winemaker
Brock Warmerdam is a Lodi native who has had a passion for wine-making since his early days tagging alongside his dad during farming operations in the family vineyards. With a Bachelor's degree in Enology from Fresno State University, Brock has gained extensive experience in the wine industry, working at top wineries such as Gallo Winery and LangeTwins Family Winery. As the winemaker at Twisted Barrel Winery, Brock brings his knowledge and expertise to every bottle of wine produced by the winery.
Operations
Running the day-to-day operations of the winery is largely on the shoulders of Marc and Denise Warmerdam, the patriarch and matriarch of the business. With a combined 40 years of experience in the wine industry, Marc and Denise have a deep understanding of what it takes to produce exceptional wines. They are usually found operating the tasting room during business hours and special events, welcoming patrons and sharing their passion for wine with visitors.

Tasting Room
