At Rise Psychology, PLLC, we are passionate about helping individuals overcome anxiety, worry, stress, panic attacks, indecision, uncertainty, perfectionism, and low self-esteem. Our licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Lauren Helm, specializes in evidence-based treatment of anxiety and related disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, agoraphobia, phobias, and OCD. She is dedicated to assisting clients in developing a deeply meaningful and authentic way of living.
Our Approach
Our therapy sessions are focused on supporting you in reaching your treatment goals using a variety of techniques informed by evidence-based treatment approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Unified Protocol Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (UP CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure Therapy (ERP), and Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC). We will often explore, discuss, and process relevant life experiences in order to reach a clear understanding about how to address any challenges you'd like to overcome, as well as strengthen self-awareness. Therapy also often involves the guided practice of CBT, UP-CBT, ACT, ERP, and/or MSC strategies and exercises (used both during and between our sessions) in order to strengthen important skills (such as mindfulness, self-compassion, emotion regulation, problem-solving, interpersonal relationship effectiveness, and values-congruent living) that may facilitate progress towards your goals.
