Martin Ranch Winery is a family-owned and operated winery founded by Therese and Dan Martin in the Santa Cruz Mountains. For nearly three decades, our winemakers have crafted award-winning wines, from planting the first rows of Cabernet Sauvignon to releasing our first commercial crush. Our rich history is reflected in each bottle of wine and every aspect of our winery.
Our Story
Our journey began with a passion for winemaking and a dream to create a community around our winery. In 1993, we planted our first vineyard, with the intention of selling our fruit to local wineries. Four years later, we decided to take the leap and give winemaking a go. By 2002, we released our first commercial crush of 625 cases, marking the beginning of our winemaking journey.

Our estate vineyards, organic garden, pond, and member seating areas provide a serene setting for you to enjoy our award-winning wines.
What We Offer
We offer a range of wine tasting experiences, from weekend wine tastings to special events and wine club memberships. Our wine club members and their guests are encouraged to pack a picnic and enjoy the comfortable setting. We are open for authentic wine tasting experiences on the first and third weekend of each month from 12 to 5 pm.
Our Labels
We produce wine under our three award-winning labels: J.D. Hurley, Soulmate, and Therese Vineyards. Each year, we produce wine under these labels, showcasing our commitment to quality and excellence.
