Our Story
Founded in 2003 by Paul and Amy Kemp, Loma Prieta Winery has a rich history of producing award-winning wines. The winery's obsession with Pinotage began when Paul discovered the grape in a Lodi vineyard and was immediately captivated by its unique flavor profile. With a passion for innovation and a commitment to quality, Loma Prieta Winery has single-handedly become the largest producer of Pinotage in North America.
Our Wines
Loma Prieta Winery produces a range of wines, including Pinotage, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Viognier, Merlot, Cabernet, and Petite Sirah. Our wines are crafted using traditional techniques and innovative practices to create unique and complex flavors. Our Pinotage is sourced from the Amorosa and Karma vineyards in Lodi, as well as our estate vineyard.
Our Tasting Room
Our charming tasting room is open to visitors on weekends from noon to 5 pm, and during the summer months of June, July, and August. Our knowledgeable staff is happy to guide you through a tasting of our latest releases and answer any questions you may have.

Dining and Picnicking
While we do not offer food for sale at the winery, there are plenty of options nearby. You are welcome to bring your own food and enjoy it with your wine at our outdoor picnic tables. Please note that no outside alcohol is permitted, and we do not have refrigeration facilities available for use.
Pet-Friendly
We are a pet-friendly winery and welcome dogs on a leash. Please remember to clean up after your pet and keep them under control at all times.
Children's Play Area
We have a designated children's play area where kids can run around and have fun while parents enjoy their wine. Please supervise your children at all times.
