Empowering life through mindful movement
Welcome to Om on the Range, your community for yoga and mindfulness practices since 2002. We are a group of supportive, fun, informed, practical, experimental, and present-minded individuals who strive to bring the transformative power of yoga to our Chicago neighborhoods. Our humble beginnings started with the dream of two individuals, Beth Range Kiely and Terry Kiely, who left their professional lives in the non-profit and corporate sectors to open a yoga studio near their home in Roscoe Village. Their love for yoga and the desire to create a welcoming and empowering space for all inspired the founding of Om on the Range. Over the years, our community has grown into a family of neighbors, friends, and families who find solace, strength, and connection through yoga.
Our Story
In 2002, on Valentine's Day, Om on the Range Yoga Studio opened its doors in the Lakeview neighborhood. Sisters Beth Range Kiely and Annie, along with Beth's husband Terry Kiely, founded the studio in memory of their father - Charlie Range. The studio was named to honor his memory and create a space that reflects his welcoming and empowering nature. Today, our team of dedicated teachers continues to uphold the core values of Om on the Range, offering various programs and classes to cater to the diverse needs of our students. From pop-up indoor and outdoor classes, livestream classes on Zoom, anytime audioclasses, special programs (like yoga summer camp, private sessions, an annual winter retreat, yoga fundraisers, and community outreach), we have a wide range of offerings to help you embark on your yoga journey.
Our Teachers
Our experienced and committed team of teachers is the backbone of Om on the Range. Our teachers are long-standing, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing the gift of yoga with our community. We are proud to have Beth's younger sister, Annie, as part of our teaching team, continuing the family legacy. Each of our teachers brings a unique perspective and expertise to their classes, ensuring that our students receive a well-rounded and engaging experience.
