At Yoga Horizons, we believe that the powerful benefits of yoga should be accessible to everyone. For over 35 years, our studio has been dedicated to providing a welcoming community of gifted teachers and dedicated students who share a passion for the benefits of yoga in the Iyengar tradition.

Our Services

We offer a variety of classes designed to meet the diverse needs of our students. From Fundamentals classes for beginners to Continuing classes for those with more experience, we have a class that's right for you. Our classes are designed to help you develop strength, flexibility, balance, and mental clarity, while also providing a sense of community and connection with others.

Class Descriptions

Fundamentals: Our Fundamentals classes are designed for beginners or those looking to refresh their practice. These classes focus on the basic asanas (poses), actions, and approaches of Iyengar yoga, and help students understand the general context and philosophy behind it.

Continuing: Our Continuing classes are designed for students with a solid foundation in Iyengar yoga. In these classes, we'll challenge you to deepen your practice, exploring new poses, sequences, and techniques.

Aging Gracefully: This class is designed for students of all ages, from their 40s to 90s! Whether you're looking to address issues related to fostering physical and mental flexibility and agility, or simply enjoying a gentle and meditative practice, this class is for you.

Extended: Our Extended classes offer a deeper exploration of posture, pranayama (breathing exercises), and philosophy. These classes are designed for students who have a solid foundation in Iyengar yoga and are looking for a more challenging practice.

Scoliosis & Back Care: This class is designed for students with scoliosis or other spinal conditions. We'll provide safe practices and modifications to support back health and overall well-being.

Pricing and Packages

We offer a range of pricing options to make yoga accessible to everyone. Our Single Class price is $30, with discounts available for five-class and ten-class packages. We also offer an Accessible rate for those with limited financial means. Students, seniors, and those who are unemployed are encouraged to contact us about our scholarship opportunities.

Private Lessons

Looking for some focused attention to explore a particular challenge, pose, or goal? Our instructors are available for private, in-studio lessons when not leading group classes. Contact us at hello@yhchicago.com to learn more.

Location and Transportation

Yoga Horizons is located on the first floor of 4619 N Ravenswood in Suite 102. We're easily accessible by car, with parking available in the surrounding area. You can also take public transportation, with nearby bus stops on Ravenswood Avenue and a Metra station just a block away.
