Our Story

PAHO/WHO Federal Credit Union was founded to serve the financial needs of employees of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the World Health Organization (WHO). Today, our membership has expanded to include employees of CORE Group member organizations, Georgetown University faculty and staff, The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation employees, MedStar Georgetown University Hospital employees, MedStar Health Faculty and Community Practice Network employees, Columbia Plaza employees, and current members' families. We pride ourselves on being a member-owned, not-for-profit cooperative, which means that our profits are returned to our members in the form of better rates, lower fees, and improved services.

Who Can Join?

Membership with PAHO/WHO Federal Credit Union is open to individuals who work for an organization that is a member of the CORE Group, Georgetown University faculty and staff, The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation employees, MedStar Georgetown University Hospital employees, MedStar Health Faculty and Community Practice Network employees, Columbia Plaza employees, and current members' families. We also welcome employees of organizations that are members of the CORE Group and their family members.
