Empowering Mental Health Professionals, Enhancing Patient Care

The North Carolina Psychiatric Association (NCPA) is a professional medical organization that represents nearly 1,000 psychiatrists statewide. As the district branch of the American Psychiatric Association, our mission is to promote the health and well-being of our patients and the community at large through advocacy, education, and support.

Our Mission

At NCPA, we are committed to ensuring accessibility of our website and resources to people with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to mental health services, and we strive to create a platform that is inclusive and supportive of all individuals.

Services

We offer a wide range of services to our members and the community, including:

  • Advocacy: We advocate for the rights and interests of our members and their patients, working to shape public policy and promote the importance of mental health care.
  • Education: We provide educational resources and opportunities for our members to stay up-to-date on the latest research and trends in psychiatry.
  • Support: We offer support to our members through our online community, job postings, and classified ads.

Disaster Resource Center

Our Disaster Resource Center is designed to help you respond to disasters and mass traumas. With resources and information on how to navigate these challenging situations, we are here to support you every step of the way.

Find a Doctor

Are you looking for a new psychiatrist? Our Find a Doctor search may be able to help you find a qualified professional in your area. Our directory lists NCPA members who have chosen to submit information about their practices, making it easy to find the right doctor for you.
