At Vintage Cowboy Winery, we are a family-owned and operated winery that has been built on a rich heritage of cowboy values and the western way of life. For five generations, the Arnold family has lived and worked on the original ranch land in Pozo, San Luis Obispo County, raising beef cattle, horses, and farming a variety of crops. Our family's connection to the land and our cowboy values are at the heart of everything we do.
Our Mission
Our mission is to produce exceptional wines that showcase the unique flavor profiles of our 32-acre vineyard, situated beneath the Santa Lucia Mountain Range. We believe that great wine is a result of careful attention to detail, a passion for our craft, and a commitment to quality. Our winemaker, Joey Arnold, has been making wine for over 20 years and has a deep understanding of the complexities of winemaking.
Our Team
Our team is made up of passionate and dedicated individuals who share a love for winemaking and the cowboy way of life. Steve Arnold, our patriarch, oversees vineyard operations and has been a driving force in the agriculture industry, serving on the California State Farm Bureau Board and the San Luis Obispo County Cattleman's Board. Joey Arnold, our winemaker, is a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and has over 20 years of experience in winemaking. He is also a skilled cattleman and farmer.
Our Wines
Our wines are carefully crafted to showcase the unique terroir of our vineyard, with a focus on Grenache Blanc, Chardonnay, Rose, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, and our signature Manchegos Fate Blend. Our wines are made with the utmost care and attention to detail, ensuring that every bottle that leaves our winery meets our high standards.
