Our Story

15 Degrees C Wine Bar & Restaurant has been a beloved gathering place for locals and travelers alike for the past 15 years. Founded in 2007, the name 15 Degrees C was chosen as a tribute to the optimal storage temperature for wine and Celsius, which also nods to our extensive selection of European wines. Our doors have recently moved to a new location on Broad Street in San Luis Obispo, but our commitment to providing an ever-changing seasonal menu paired with beautiful local and world wines remains the same.

At 15c, we strive to create a casual, cool, and relaxing atmosphere where our guests can enjoy indoor seating at the bar or outside on the patio. Our patio offers comfortable seating, warm fireplaces, and often features live music from local favorites. It's the perfect place to meet new friends, chat with winemakers, grape growers, and other like-minded individuals from all over.

Owner and Sommelier Ali Rush

Ali Rush, the owner and sommelier of 15 Degrees C, has always had a passion for wine and the industry. After completing her Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from Cal Poly, Ali was determined to break into the field of wine. She began her journey in the tasting room at Castoro Cellars in Paso Robles, where she fell in love with wine and the magic of winemaking. Ali's curiosity and passion for wine led her to complete her Master's degree in Agriculture and become a certified advanced sommelier through the WSET and a certified Somm through the Court of Master Sommeliers.

In addition to being the owner and founder of 15c, Ali is a devoted mother and traveler. She leads yearly wine adventures to Spain and France, her two favorite wine regions. Ali's love for wine and the industry is infectious, and she is always eager to share her knowledge and passion with others.

Wine Shop and Restaurant

Our Wine Shop and Restaurant is open daily and offers an extensive selection of wines from around the world. We are proud to offer a constantly changing menu that features local and seasonal ingredients, paired with beautiful wines. Our knowledgeable staff is always on hand to help guests choose the perfect wine and food pairing.

Wine Clubs

At 15 Degrees C, we offer two wine clubs for our guests to choose from. The Rack club features two bottles of wine each month for $30 and is designed for those who enjoy trying new and exciting wines. The Cellar club features six bottles of wine each quarter for $150 and is perfect for those who enjoy drinking wine as well as collecting it. Each club includes 10% off all wine purchases, 10% off all food purchases, and free wine tastings on the 15th of each month.

Wine University

At 15c, we believe that learning about wine is just as important as drinking it. That's why we offer Wine University, a program that offers classes and tastings led by Ali Rush. Our classes cover a range of topics, including wine regions, grape varieties, and food pairings. Whether you're a wine novice or a seasoned enthusiast, our Wine University program has something for everyone.

Fair VinYoga

Located at 624 S Main St Suite 201 in Templeton, CA, Fair VinYoga is our infrared wellness studio. We offer a range of classes designed to promote relaxation, healing, and overall well-being. Our classes incorporate the healing benefits of infrared heat, as well as wine tastings and pairings. It's the perfect way to combine two of life's greatest pleasures - wine and yoga.
