Our Team
I'm Jamie Lee, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Intuitive Eating Counselor. With a background in Community Health Education and Post-graduate work in Dietetics, I've had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, ages, and abilities. As a certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, I've dedicated my practice to helping adults heal from years of yo-yo dieting, disordered behaviors, and body hatred.
Our Approach
Our comprehensive approach is designed to empower you to cultivate a positive relationship with food and your body. We incorporate evidence-based practices, including Intuitive Eating, Health at Every Size, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and the FODMAP Protocol. Our goal is to help you develop values-driven behaviors that prioritize your physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
Our Core Services
- Intuitive Eating: We'll guide you in trusting your body's internal cues, allowing you to develop normal eating habits and a peaceful relationship with food.
- Health at Every Size (HAES): We'll support you in recognizing that all bodies are good bodies and that health is impacted by various factors, including genetics, social and financial privileges, stress from stigma and oppression, and access to nutrient-rich foods.
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): We'll help you clarify your values and commitments, and work together to identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that may be holding you back.
- The FODMAP Protocol: We'll support you in identifying carbohydrate intolerances and exploring alternative interventions to minimize digestive symptoms.
Our Core Ideologies
- Respect and Trust: We believe that all bodies are worthy and deserving of being heard, seen, respected, and trusted.
- Joyful Eating: We believe in joyful eating and flexibility in your relationship with food.
- Deprivation: We believe that deprivation, restriction, and shame hurt our ability to heal.
- Body Brilliance: We believe that your lived-experience and body are full of brilliance.
