Dr. Provenzano received his M.Ed. and Ph. D. from the University of Washington's Counseling Psychology Program after graduating from The Ohio State University. He has been an affiliate faculty member of the School Psychology and Counseling training program at the University of Washington for over 30 years. Dr. Provenzano is a licensed psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist with extensive experience in individual and family therapy, psychological and neuropsychological evaluations, and gifted assessments.
Dr. Provenzano's professional writing includes chapters on allowance and chores for children, professional ethics, intellectual giftedness, anger management, and psychological consultation. He is a national workshop presenter and speaker on professional ethics and anger management and has been interviewed in various publications, including The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and The Seattle Times, on topics such as children's video use, children's chores, and academic redshirting.

- Psychotherapy & Counseling: Dr. Provenzano offers individual and family counseling and psychotherapy services for adolescents and adults. His therapeutic approach is a blend of cognitive-behavioral, strategic systems, and solutions-focused therapies, incorporating developmental and social psychological perspectives. Treatment issues often focus on anxiety and/or depression management, organization, executive functioning, and AD/HD interventions, anger management, parenting, couples and family issues, adolescents and young adult transitions, stress management, and relaxation.
- Comprehensive Psychological & Neuropsychological Evaluations: Dr. Provenzano provides comprehensive evaluations of cognitive and psychological issues that affect learning, memory, executive functioning, and behavior, impacting school and home functioning. These evaluations include the diagnosis of executive skills and/or learning impairments, recommendations for intervention and accommodations as appropriate for school-aged children and older. For high school, college, and graduate students, this may include recommendations for accommodations for college and graduate/professional entrance exams and classes.
