YogaBright is a warm and welcoming yoga and wellness community based in lower Westchester County, New York. Founded by Louise Fecher, a certified yoga instructor, MELT Method instructor, workshop leader, and Reiki practitioner, YogaBright is the culmination of Louise's lifelong passion for yoga, wellness, and personal growth.
Meet Louise
Before studying yoga, Louise spent decades working in publishing and advertising as an editor. It was during this time that she discovered the power of words and their ability to bring body, mind, and spirit together. Louise's diverse background and wealth of experience make her a unique and compassionate teacher, dedicated to helping her students discover the many benefits of yoga.
Classes at YogaBright
At YogaBright, we offer a variety of classes to suit students of all levels and abilities. Our classes include:
- Hatha Yoga: Our Hatha yoga classes offer a well-rounded practice, incorporating asana (physical postures), pranayama (breathwork), and meditation. These classes are suitable for beginners and more experienced practitioners, with modifications provided to accommodate all levels.
- Restorative Yoga: Restorative yoga is a gentle and nurturing practice that involves holding poses for extended periods, supported by props such as blankets, bolsters, and blocks. These classes are perfect for students seeking a more relaxed and restful practice.
- MELT Method: The MELT Method is a unique self-treatment technique that helps to reduce chronic pain, improve mobility, and promote overall well-being. Developed by Sue Hitzmann, this method combines the principles of connective tissue science, fascial fitness, and neuroscience to create a powerful and effective self-care practice.
- Adapted Chair Yoga: Adapted chair yoga is a gentle and accessible practice designed specifically for seniors and those with limited mobility. These classes incorporate seated and standing poses, breathwork, and meditation, providing a safe and enjoyable way for students to experience the benefits of yoga.
In addition to our regularly scheduled classes, we also offer private sessions, workshops, and special events throughout the year.
