SF Underwater Hockey

Welcome to the San Francisco Sea Lions Underwater Hockey Club, a thriving community of athletes dedicated to promoting and developing the sport of underwater hockey in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our mission is to secure opportunities for players of all skill levels to engage in this unique and exhilarating sport, with a focus on training local athletes for national and international competition.

Underwater hockey, also known as octopush, is a fast-paced and strategic game played on the bottom of a pool by teams of six players equipped with masks, snorkels, fins, and short sticks. The objective is to score goals by maneuvering a puck into the opposing team's goal using teamwork, skill, and strategy. This limited-contact, co-ed sport offers a level playing field for men and women to compete together, emphasizing agility, finesse, and cooperation over brute strength.

Our club is proud to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for players of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you are new to the sport or an experienced player, we are committed to providing you with the resources, support, and encouragement you need to succeed and have fun.

Services Offered

At the San Francisco Sea Lions Underwater Hockey Club, we pride ourselves on offering a wide range of services tailored to meet the diverse needs of our members. These services include:

• Introductory Sessions: If you are new to underwater hockey, we invite you to join us for an introductory session where we will help you get geared up, introduce you to the basic rules and skills, and provide you with a taste of what this exciting sport has to offer.

• Weekly Practices: We offer regular adult practices, open to all registered members, where you can hone your skills, strategize with your teammates, and scrimmage against other teams in a fun and supportive environment. Our youth program, designed for players aged 8-18, also features weekly practices led by experienced coaches.

• Equipment Rentals: We understand that investing in underwater hockey gear can be a significant expense for newcomers. That's why we offer equipment rentals at no cost to help you get started and determine if this sport is the right fit for you.

• Coaching and Training: Our experienced coaches and trainers are dedicated to helping you reach your full potential as an underwater hockey player.
