San Francisco Soccer Football League

Established in 1902, the San Francisco Soccer Football League (SFSFL) is one of the oldest and most prestigious adult soccer leagues in the United States. Over the past 120 years, our league has prided itself on providing high-quality soccer and a platform for players to compete at the highest level. Our mission is to build a pipeline of talented players who can achieve their dreams of playing at the professional level. We strive to provide a competitive and enjoyable environment for our players, officials, and teams.

Our History and Tradition

The SFSFL was founded in 1902 along the shores of San Francisco by Edgar Pomeroy. Since its inception, our league has been committed to providing high-quality soccer by playing a promotion and relegation format. Over the years, our members have achieved great success, winning multiple National and State Cups, as well as competing in the US Open Cup. Many of our game officials have gone on to officiate in top-level professional leagues, including the MLS and USL.

Our Services

At SFSFL, we offer a range of services to our players, teams, and officials, including:

• League Participation: We provide a competitive and enjoyable environment for our players, with three divisions of play: Premier Division, Majors Division, and First Division.
• Referees and Officials: We provide highly trained and experienced officials to ensure fair and competitive games.
• Fields and Scheduling: We manage a network of top-quality fields and schedules games and tournaments.
• Tournaments and Competitions: We host and participate in various tournaments and competitions at the local, regional, and national levels.
• Team and Player Development: We offer programs and resources to help teams and players develop their skills and reach their full potential.

Becoming an SFSFL Member

Joining SFSFL is easy. Simply follow these steps:

1. Register: Complete our registration form and submit it to our office.

2. Pay League Fees: Pay your league fees by registering online or by sending a check to our office.

3. Participate: Register your team and start participating in games and tournaments.
