At English Estate Winery, we hand-craft wines from estate-grown fruit in a historic oasis in East Vancouver, just 15 minutes from PDX. Established in 1903, our family has been working this land for five generations, producing award-winning wines grown right here on our farm. We have a cozy tasting room and plenty of outdoor seating, and welcome visitors to bring a snack or picnic. Our Loafing Shed Tasting Room is open year-round, and we offer yoga and wine events throughout the year. We're proud members of the wine industry in Southwest Washington, and love sharing our story with wine enthusiasts. Our story is one of five generations of history, from Carl S. English, a well-educated man who built a "horseless carriage" and generated electricity for the farm, to our current day efforts to produce high-quality wines using dry farming methods.
The winery's atmosphere, friendly staff, and unique events have been praised by reviewers.
Reviews have also criticized the winery's poor organization, high wine prices, and misleading marketing.
