The Lutheran Association for Church Extension, Inc. (LACE) is a non-profit organization that provides low-cost loans to self-supporting Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) and Evangelical Lutheran Synod (ELS) religious organizations. These loans can be used to refinance current mortgages, construct, expand or renovate church/school facilities, or to complete miscellaneous projects. LACE also offers investment opportunities to congregations and members, allowing them to privately purchase investments and receive annual interest payments. The organization's primary purpose is to support the church in fulfilling its mission of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and it does this by providing congregations with low-cost loans and partnering with them to access funds. Through LACE, congregations can access low-cost loans to support church expansion, new build, or renovate existing facilities.
