The Lutheran Association for Church Extension, Inc. (LACE), established in 1960, is a non-profit organization serving congregations of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod and the Evangelical Lutheran Synod throughout the United States. Our mission is to provide congregations with low-cost loans to support the church in fulfilling its mission of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Services

We offer a range of loan options to support the growth and development of WELS and ELS religious organizations. Our loan terms are flexible, with fixed rates of 10 and 15 years, as well as five-year balloons of 20, 25, and 30 years. We also provide construction loans, which typically make interest-only payments for the first six months. In addition to our loan services, we provide a channel through which congregations and members can privately purchase investments and receive annual interest payments. These investments are designated to support specific projects, helping to lower the total interest charged on the loan.
