Horizon High School, located in Dane County, Wisconsin, is the only recovery high school in the state. It provides a safe and supportive environment for students in recovery from substance use disorders, including those with co-occurring mental health disorders. The school supports students at increased risk of substance use disorders and fosters emotional, social, and academic growth. Horizon High School incorporates guest speakers, life skills education, physical education, volunteering, and field trips to engage students in the greater Madison community. With a low student-to-teacher and counselor ratio of 5:1, the school aims to provide a student-centered learning environment.
