Big Table Studios is a pottery studio located in the rolling hills above the Missouri River Valley, dedicated to creating high-quality, functional, and sculptural wood-fired ceramics. The studio is run by artists John Martelle and Liz Vercruysse, who are committed to using local materials and masterful techniques to craft unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. The studio's anagama wood-burning kiln is fired several times a year, producing around 300 finished pieces per firing. Each piece is carefully crafted, with attention to detail and a focus on preserving the natural beauty of the clay. The studio also offers classes and private lessons for individuals and groups, as well as pottery parties for special events.
