Delaware Cooperative Preschool is a non-profit, secular cooperative preschool founded in 1984 by a group of Delaware parents who wanted to play an active role in their children's early education. The preschool offers mixed-age, Montessori-inspired classrooms with a focus on social and cognitive skills development in a nurturing, joyful, child-centered environment. DCP provides students and families with equal opportunity to early childhood education without discrimination, and offers caregivers an opportunity to enhance their role as their child's primary educators. Additionally, DCP has a unique cooperative model that allows families to participate in the classroom directly and help create the kind of learning environment they would like for their children. The preschool has two classrooms, Toddler Time for children aged 2-3, and more.
