The academy was started in 2009 by the Stewart brothers with the goal of providing the best training facilities for martial arts in Maryland. The academy specializes in teaching practical self-defense designed for modern day applications, with patient and enthusiastic instructors who have dedicated their lives to teaching the amazing art of Gracie Jiu Jitsu. The academy also offers seminars live with members of the Gracie family and their esteemed black belts. The curriculum is highly detailed and structured to help students retain the self-defense techniques they have learned. New students can take a free ten-day trial to experience the academy's programs.
