The Coal City Fire Protection District is a fire department providing fire and emergency medical services to Grundy County, Illinois. The district is staffed by a full-time Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, Lieutenants, firefighter/paramedics, and volunteer firefighters. We provide ALS emergency medical services and protect 55 square miles with various occupancies from residential to nuclear electric generation. Our goal is to help communities be safe as they can be anywhere. We offer classes, training, and educational resources to the public.
