Our Mission

Whitefeather Productions was founded on the belief that ballet class music should be as carefully crafted and thoughtfully curated as the art form itself. We recognize that each stage of a dancer's development, from the very first steps to the heights of pre-professional training, requires a distinct musical approach.

Our mission is to provide ballet instructors with high-quality, expertly performed music that not only supports the technical aspects of training but also enriches the artistic experience. We strive to create collections that are both inspiring and practical, fostering a love of music and movement in young dancers.

The Whitefeather Approach

Our founders, Margarita White, Tatyana Shargorodsky, and Melinda Pendleton, are deeply passionate about ballet and its transformative power. Each brings a unique perspective and expertise to Whitefeather Productions.

Melinda Pendleton, a renowned ballerina and teacher, began her training at the Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet, where she excelled, winning numerous awards and performing both nationally and internationally. Her understanding of ballet technique and pedagogy informs every music selection we make.

Tatyana Shargorodsky, a highly skilled pianist, honed her artistry in the former Soviet Union. Her years of experience accompanying dancers, particularly at the Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet, have given her an intimate understanding of the musical nuances required to support a wide range of dance styles and levels.

Margarita White, a seasoned ballet educator, founded the Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet and has dedicated her life to nurturing young dancers. Her unwavering commitment to quality and excellence is reflected in every Whitefeather Production.
