Who We Are

New Dimensions Physical Therapy is a unique practice that specializes in complicated orthopedic, spinal, and pelvic dysfunction. These musculoskeletal problems can be long-standing and have many painful symptoms that overlap. The physical therapists at New Dimensions Physical Therapy are deeply committed to finding the source of these problems and treating them effectively and efficiently. We work closely with your referring physician to offer the most comprehensive health care team possible.

We base our treatment plans on peer-reviewed, scientific research to provide our patients with cutting-edge information and technology. This approach enables us to provide the most effective and innovative treatment strategies for our patients.

Services

At New Dimensions Physical Therapy, we offer a range of services designed to address complex musculoskeletal problems. Our services encompass a variety of orthopedic, spinal, and pelvic dysfunction issues, including:

• Lower Back Pain/Sacral Dysfunction: We take a holistic approach to treating low back pain, focusing on the biomechanics of the position of the bones and their relationship to each other. Our therapists use a combination of techniques, including the Hesch Method, muscle-energy techniques, and osteopathic techniques, to normalize pelvic alignment and reduce abnormal low back muscle tone.

• Pelvic Dysfunction: Our physical therapists specialize in treating a variety of issues related to pelvic floor dysfunction, including urinary or fecal incontinence, chronic constipation, and pelvic pain. We utilize a range of techniques, including muscle-energy techniques and osteopathic techniques, to address these issues and promote pain-free sitting.

Teaching and Education

New Dimensions Physical Therapy is a teaching environment for physical therapy interns from colleges and universities in the New York Metropolitan area. Our physical therapists are also adjunct faculty at one or several of the schools in the area. This commitment to education and professional development ensures that our therapists stay current with the latest research and treatment approaches.
