Scott Renschler

At our practice, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive psychotherapy services to help individuals overcome various mental health challenges. Based in Seattle, Washington, our practice is led by licensed psychologist Scott Renschler, Psy. D. With a strong background in clinical psychology, Dr. Renschler offers individual psychotherapy, consultation, and supervision services to clients and mental health professionals alike.

Our Approach

Our approach is rooted in psychodynamic and relational theories, which emphasize the importance of understanding the unconscious patterns that shape our behavior and relationships. We believe that gaining insight into these patterns, as well as developing new ways of relating to others, can lead to increased intellectual and emotional flexibility, healthier relationships, and a more fulfilling life.

In addition to psychodynamic and relational approaches, our practice also incorporates cognitive and behavioral techniques as needed. We recognize that symptom relief may be necessary in the short term, and we work with clients to set realistic goals and develop strategies to achieve them.

Services

Our practice offers a range of services, including individual psychotherapy, consultation, and supervision. We have a particular focus on relationship patterns and problems; issues of identity and self-concept; grief, loss, and mourning; life transitions; existential concerns; longstanding personality difficulties; depression; and anxiety.

Fees and Payment

Our fees are competitive and tailored to our clients' needs. Our fee for an initial intake appointment of approximately 70 minutes is $350. Our fee for a standard session of approximately 55 minutes is $225. We reserve a limited number of spaces in our practice for patients who cannot afford our full fee.

We are a preferred provider for several major insurance carriers, including Premera Blue Cross, Regence Blue Shield, Aetna, Lifewise Health Plan of Washington, First Choice Health, and Medicare. We also accept out-of-network insurance plans and will work with clients to submit claims on their behalf.
