Sylvie's Sunnyside Preschool is a Montessori-inspired program nestled in the heart of Terra Linda, San Rafael. We believe in fostering a love for learning through hands-on exploration and encouraging independence in young minds.

Our cozy and stimulating classroom is designed to capture the imagination of young learners. With warm tones, natural materials, and carefully arranged spaces, we create a sense of calm and inspiration. The space invites exploration, discovery, and fosters a love for the natural world.

Nurturing your child's potential

Our experienced and passionate teachers guide children through their journey of discovery with sensitivity and expertise. We implement age-appropriate Montessori materials and methods, encouraging natural curiosity and fostering a love for exploration.

Experiential learning through play

At Sunnyside, learning goes beyond textbooks. We integrate playful activities, such as art, music, dramatic play, gardening, and outdoor exploration, into our daily curriculum. This holistic approach nurtures the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of every child.

Our programs

• Full-day program: 9 am to 4 pm
• Half-day program: 9 am to 1 pm
• Extended hours: 8 am to 9 am & 4 pm to 5 pm (Monday-Thursday)

We offer two program options

• Toddlers & Pre-toddlers (18 months - 3 1/2 - 4 years): A small group environment fostering a sense of security, exploration, and social interaction.
• Preschoolers (3 1/2 - 4 years): A curriculum that encourages active exploration, creativity, and a love for discovery.
