Bright Star

Since 2003, Bright Star Preschool has been dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children from ages two to pre-kindergarten. Our mission is to help children develop a positive self-image and feel good about themselves as individuals. We believe that children learn best through active involvement in various activities such as dramatic play, music, movement, arts & crafts, cooking, health, nutrition, and fine and gross motor activities.

Our comprehensive and well-balanced learning program is designed to nourish creativity, build self-esteem, allow for positive social interactions, and enhance academic learning. We offer a variety of programs including Jr. Preschool, Preschool, and Pre-Kindergarten groups, with options for full-time and part-time enrollment, as well as "Afternoon Care." Our curriculum includes reading, math, science, social studies, and second language instructions in Spanish and Cantonese.

Our Program

Our daily schedule is carefully planned to ensure a balance between structured activities and free play. The day begins with arrival and free choice of activities, followed by clean-up and breakfast. Large group circle time includes attendance, school announcements, and sharing of experiences. The morning is dedicated to learning centers based on developmental skills, where children participate in teacher-directed activities. Outdoor play, second language instruction, and lunch are also part of the morning. After lunch, there is a rest period, followed by snack time and more indoor and outdoor play. The day concludes with free choice activities as children await the arrival of their parents.

Our Staff

At Bright Star Preschool, we have high standards for selecting our staff. Many of our teachers are trained in Early Childhood Education and hold Baccalaureate Degrees. They are chosen for their nurturance and warmth, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all children.
