Granite Bay Jiu-Jitsu

We are thrilled to welcome you to the Charles Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Association, where we strive to mold great martial artists and even greater individuals. Our association has 25 active locations, all of which offer authentic Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. We are led by Professor Ryan Rich, a 2nd-degree black belt and professor of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu under 7th degree black belt Master Charles Gracie.

Our Services

We offer a range of services, including world-class, detail-oriented, and systematic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction. Our martial arts are for everyone, and the benefits include stress reduction, weight control, weight loss, coordination, and physical fitness. We also offer combatives self-defense and street awareness fundamentals for real-world scenarios, as well as bullyproof programs that build confidence, respect, and discipline. Our environment is family-friendly, clean, friendly, and safe.

Our evidence-based self-defense begins with physical fitness, movement, and technique. We believe that martial arts are a lifestyle, and we are committed to helping our students become the best versions of themselves. Our curriculum is designed to meet the needs of every student, regardless of their age, ability, or experience level.

Our Instructor

Ryan Rich has over 25 years of experience in martial arts, and is a Charles Gracie second-degree black belt and professor of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu with more than 15 years of grappling training. He is the only coach in the area with long-term university teaching experience, having run the Sacramento State Jiu-Jitsu program for over five years. He has also taught at the University of California, Davis, and American River College.

Certifications

Granite Bay Jiu-Jitsu is a certified Charles Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Association Academy under 8th degree black belt, Master Charles Gracie. Professor Ryan and Granite Bay Jiu-Jitsu are also certified by Master Carlos Gracie Jr's IBJJF (International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation), Master Rickson Gracie's JJGF (Jiu-Jitsu Global Federation), and Master Robson Gracie's FJJRio(Jiu-Jitsu Federation of Rio de Janeiro). We are committed to upholding the highest standards of instruction and professionalism.
