Ballet
Our classical ballet program follows the Cecchetti method with 11 progressive levels. Students develop strength, balance, and technique through barre and floor work while learning proper body placement and terminology. Examinations are available for serious students preparing for professional careers or advanced training opportunities.
Hip-Hop
Contemporary hip-hop classes teach age-appropriate combinations to current music. Students develop individual style through warm-up exercises and choreography that emphasizes rhythm, coordination, and creative expression in a fun, energetic environment.
Lyrical/Contemporary
This interpretive style combines ballet and jazz techniques to tell stories through movement. Classes focus on emotional expression and musical interpretation while recommending concurrent ballet training to enhance technical foundation and body control.
Tap
Tap dance instruction emphasizes musicality and rhythm through progressive steps, combinations, and improvisation. Students learn to create percussive sounds while developing coordination and timing across multiple skill levels.
Competitive Dance
Our award-winning competitive program prepares dancers for regional and national competitions. Participants receive advanced training in multiple styles while building teamwork skills through rehearsals and performances at community events and parades.

What dance styles do you offer?
We offer ballet (11 levels), hip-hop, jazz, lyrical/contemporary, tap, pointe, tumbling, fitness classes, musical theater, and break-dance for ages 2.5 to 18.
When are auditions for the performing company?
Annual auditions occur in October. The 2025 auditions are scheduled for October 10 at 5:00 PM with rehearsals beginning October 12.
Do I need prior experience to join?
No prior experience required. We offer beginner classes starting at age 2.5 and progressive levels for all skill ranges from recreational to competitive dancers.
What are your office hours?
Office hours are Monday 5:45-8:30 PM, Tuesday 5:45-8:00 PM, Thursday 5:45-8:30 PM, and Saturday 10:00 AM-2:00 PM.
Are there performance opportunities?
Yes! Our dance company performs at community events, parades, and the annual Magical Christmas Ballet at Detroit Fox Theatre, with alumni featured in national tours.
